BriefTA2 Sound + Music wanted to reach their key demographic of advertising creatives and remind them of their expertise. But how could they stand out during the crowded holiday season? We decided to show off their mastery of voice direction and sound design by creating the first-ever described video for the classic film, Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer.Unbelievably, this film had never been adapted for the visually impaired. So we set about using TA2’s talents to create a described video, narrated by a child, for extra holiday charm. This video was sent to key industry colleagues and clients in place of the traditional Christmas card.Shortly after, this closed-captioned version of Rudolph was distributed nationally by Universal, airing on Treehouse TV, YTV and NBC right at the peak of the holiday season, and Universal has expressed interest in running it from here on out.Not only did we reach a very specific target in a unique and heartwarming way, but we actually made a Christmas classic accessible to a whole new group of people.
