John Fawcett is Worldwide Creative Director of Bates Worldwide, and as of August 1, 1998, Chairman of its Worldwide Creative Board and Creative Director Bates North America. Formerly CEO of George Patterson Bates, Australia?s largest and most successful advertising agency,
he has overall responsibility for Bates Worldwide?s creative product. John, who possesses a rare blend of creative leadership skills and business acumen, began his advertising career with George Patterson Bates, but later worked for a number of years in Asia, London and Australia for Leo Burnett and J. Walter Thompson. He rejoined George Patterson in Australia as a creative group head and, in a variety of posts, has been responsible for outstanding work in areas such as finance, fast food, packaged food, snackfood, pet-food and beverages including beer, spirits, sodas, etc., as well as new media, cars, airlines and petroleum.
