John Follis is a multi-awarded ad man and cofounder of one of the top ad agencies in the country, Follis/DeVito/Verdi. Following that, his retooled Madison Ave agency, Follis Inc, produced effective advertising and marketing solutions for clients for another 25 years.
John's successful work has been featured in The New York Times, USAToday, Forbes, The Harvard Business Review, ABC, CNBC, and "Principles of Marketing" a textbook used at major universities. John also produced and hosted one of the first podcasts; "The Marketing Show" in 2006. But what makes his career most notable was his being one of a dozen people from around the US to be honored at The White House for the exceptional public service work they've done. In John's case it was for his highly effective national TV campaign for child abuse prevention.
As a thought leader John's written for ADWEEK and addressed venues including The World Business Academy and Yale Entrepreneurial Institute. He's also taught at New York's top 3 ad schools: SVA, F.I.T, and Parsons School of Design.
In '17, Follis applied his talents to filmmaking with a self-produced documentary, "Leaving God". The film, which explores the shifting attitudes in America about religion and God, received a "Best First Film" award at The Hollywood Documentary Film Festival.
More recently, John's been a featured guest on over 80 podcasts speaking about his film, marketing, entrepreneurship, and how he overcame being fired 4 times before achieving any of his success.
