Derrick Ogilvie

Derrick Ogilvie

Creative Director at Hauser Group
Savannah, United States

About me

When Derrick has an idea you can see it in his eyes. Never one to be long winded, he has that
special ability to sum up the situation in a few powerful words. Words that make you think and
concepts that sell. Derrick?s big break came while he was working with McCann-Erickson in
San Francisco, when he translated all those hours practicing video games as a teenager into a
creative campaign for Sega. Derrick didn?t stop at traditional advertising in that pitch?but won
Sega?s attention with guerrilla marketing extensions that supported the campaign. While at
McCann, he also worked on AT&T, Valent, San Jose Mercury News and Breath Bombs. Moving
from west coast to east coast, Derrick worked on the Boston Globe and CVS accounts, then
joined Hill Holiday where he was Associate Creative Director for Fidelity Investments, Dunkin?
Donuts, Wang Computers and Partners Healthcare, producing memorable broadcast, outdoor
and print campaigns. Fitzgerald and Co. offered Derrick the chance to return home to Atlanta
where he worked as associate creative director on the Durex Condoms, Atlanta Hawks, Aruba
Tourism, ChoicePoint, Coca-Cola, Jerzees and Humminbird Fish Finder accounts. Throughout
his career, Derrick?s creative concepts have always stretched the boundaries with ideas that go
beyond traditional advertising and extend the impact of the brand?making him a perfect fit
for the Hauser Group.
