Achim Rietze is Strategy Lead at the ZOO EMEA - Google’s creative think tank for brands and agencies - a team of highly experienced strategists, creatives and technologists, whose passion is to help define the future of marketing in a digital world.

The ZOO collaborates with brands and agencies to use Google’s technology and platforms in new, exciting and unexpected ways. And is present in 16 Google offices around the world.

In 2001, Achim started his career at the global agency network Y&R, before joining Jung von Matt in 2006 for four years. According to the Big One the "Most-awarded creative agency across all media and the world“ in 2007. Later he founded his own strategy unit and was member of board at LLR, a Jung von Matt spin-off, that directly won 9 Lions at Cannes in the first year and became "Newcomer Agency of the Year 2009" in Germany. In 2015 he arrived at Google.

Throughout his career Achim worked on global clients like Mercedes-Benz, Unilever, Philip Morris, Panasonic and Subway. Exploiting the full potential of today's ecosystem for brands.

The 41-year old strategist is engaged at the APG Germany for 10 years and represented the interests of the planning community as member of board in 2013. He has a trackrecord of 27 effectiveness award wins and is a member of juries like the AME at New York Festivals.
