Matthias studied Design, became a writer and a few years later Creative Director at HEIMAT, Berlin where he worked for HORNBACH and Audi. In 2010 he joined Ogilvy & Mather, Frankfurt as Executive Creative Director. In 2012 he became Managing Director of Ogilvy & Mather Frankfurt. Since Juli 2014 he has been Managing Director at HEIMAT, Berlin. Matthias worked for national and international clients including HORNBACH Germany/Europe, IKEA, P&G Pampers, German Railway, Playstation, Audi, eBay, ZMG, ASICS Europe, IWC International, Liberal Democrats, Powerade, Heineken, Coca Cola Company, Media Markt. He has won One Show Gold, the D&AD Yellow Pencil, Clio Gold, Eurobest Grand Prix, ADC Europe Grand Prix, ADC Grand Prix, AME Platin and the first ever Titanium and Integrated Cannes Lion for Germany. He has been featured in the book "The 30 best Copywriters of Germany". He has also created some of Germany’s most talked about campaigns of the decade such as "The house of imagination" (Hornbach) „Weihnachten wird unterm Baum entschieden“ (Media Markt) "KeepCalmAndMoveToBerlin"(Liberal Democrats), #Paintback (Legacy/Kulturelle Erben e.V.). "Make it your Project" (Hornbach) has been featured in the exhibition "50 Campaigns, that made history".
