Italian-born Marco Gentile was dedicated to his passion for film direction and photography before even completing his studies in Humanities at The Stalale University of Milan in 2002. After a first music video in 2004, Marco received a Fullbright scholarship and moved to Boston, where he completed a Master's in Media Arts at Emerson.
Since then, he has directed numerous commercials for Rolling Stone Magazine, Freddy, Discovery Channel, Tod´s, Yamaha, and Pepsi; and music videos for Tiziano Ferro, Negramaro, Subsonica, Elisa, Malika Ayane, and Snoop Dog. He has also made documentary films. In 2010, he took home a Cannes Silver Lion for his film for Rolling Stone Magazine.
Marco’s passion for photography shines through in his films’ beautifully composed images. With a unique style at the crossroads of fashion editorials and documentary, as well as films for Carrera, Todd’s and Freddy under his belt, Marco is becoming a very sought after name in the world of fashion commercials in Italy.
