Vaughan is a seasoned professional with over 30 years experience in Business development and leadership.
He started off his career in advertising, creating campaigns for blue chip clients including Unilever, KFC, South African Breweries (today SABMiller InBev), Nestle, IBM and more. An entrepreneur at heart, in 2008 Vaughan left to start his own agency and founded OwenKessel Communications. OwenKessel quickly grew to become one of the most admired agencies in South Africa and after 5 years, was nominated as one of South Africa’s top five advertising agencies, billing over R80 Million. Clients included McDonald’s, Dimension Data, Amstel Lager, Heineken, Diageo, Total Petrochemicals, Marlboro, Chesterfield, Fiat Group and DStv among others.
OwenKessel was acquired by the global communications network Publicis Groupe in December 2013. Vaughan continued to serve as Managing Director of OwenKessel Leo Burnett until November 2016 when the entrepreneurial bug bit again and he left to join the FinTech startup COMO Global S.A.
Today Vaughan is the CEO of Owen+Co Owen+Co a professional boutique marketing consultancy with over 30 years’ experience in delivering ground-breaking strategies and creative work for global brands like Visa, Reebok, JP Morgan, Dimension Data and NTT to name just a few.
Based in London, Owen+Co is passionate about helping companies uncover their purpose and delivering marketing and communication strategies that help build lasting relationships with their audiences. Delivering long term growth and culture change.
Vaughan is based in London where he lives with his wife and two daughters.
