A creative mortal who is intrigued with how human minds perceive art, design, and technology and in a mission to reduce the friction between them. As a Design Thinker and User Experience Designer, my thought process and ideas are to generate designs Applying User-Centered Design that are meaningful, intuitive, user-friendly and that which delights and influences the lives of the users in a favorable manner.
Having worked with Pfizer Pharmaceutical Company on designing mobile apps for end-users of Enterprise and Medical for around 21 months have bagged me some awesome opportunities to attend and experience the intensity of six hackathons that were conducted in fantastic and beautiful cities of Dubai, Makati-Manila, Hong Kong and Beijing - China from October 2015 to January 2016.
Hackathons are events from which you learn a lot about the product on the spot with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Legal, Medical Representatives, HealthCare Professionals, Designers, and Developers all sitting together at one table and brainstorming on what features would be available in the app and clearly be stating the objective of the app. The amount of intel gathered together after the discussions help to narrow down on the useful and most important features as feature lists that would be designed and developed as a working prototype which would be demoed on iPhones and other smartphones.
The most exciting and challenging part is the design and development of the app which needs to be done within 48 hours and delivering a working prototype which would be tested by the business first and then by the end-users. As a designer, it is pushing the mental and physical boundaries by completing the entire design including the branding of the app in less than 24 hours so the developer would have sufficient time to integrate all the designs.
