With over twenty years of experience as an executive team member for some of the nation's leading Fortune 500 companies including Standard & Poor's, McGraw Hill and John Hancock Funds, Kathleen brings innovation and passion for the creative process to each relationship. Her experience managing both enterprise level engagements, as well as small-to-mid-size company relationships affords her a unique perspective in helping her clients define and communicate their unique industry position.
Oversaw creative direction for John Hancock Funds Financial Services division. Managed all externally facing customer communications, marketing programs, brand development and messaging aimed at promoting and enhancing the John Hancock consumer presence.
• Actively managed the relationships of a wide range of global investment companies from a design perspective. This involved meeting with clients, understanding their brand dynamics,
and effectively designing successful marketing programs to grow their businesses.
• Managed a 17-person design department comprised of design managers, print and Web designers, print buying and prepress production staff.
• Oversaw development of client based communications programs which took the form of encompassing Web and print marketing campaigns.
• Supported new business development through proposal generation, client presentations,
and relationship management throughout the design process.
• As a member of the S&P’s Executive Steering Committee; drove new product ideas, evolved corporate brand standards and lead strategy sessions surrounding new product initiatives, market positioning and growth
• Managed overarching client relationships from a design standpoint; understanding clients needs, brand positioning, and product awareness goals.
• Lead design staff to concept and create encompassing marketing communications programs in both print and Web mediums including quarterly and monthly magazines, annual reports, seminar systems, collateral development initiatives and Web modules.
• Oversaw staff development, new business development, strategic planning, budgetary allocations and maintenance, software and hardware research, and marketing management (trade show planning, mail campaign creation and direction, and competitive analysis).
