In my current role as Head Corporate Communications, Wunderman Thompson, South Asia, I am responsible for leveraging the ‘Wunderman Thompson’ brand name in South Asia. Through a well-defined communications strategy, my key role is to build and establish brand identity, drive positive perceptions and bolster Wunderman Thompson and its group companies' image and reputation in South Asia among relevant stakeholders. My other responsibilities include external and internal communications, media relations, crisis communications and social media management.
My career has seen me assume various roles in the media and communications industry spanning public relations, marketing communications and advertising. Prior to Wunderman Thompson, I have worked with Hill+Knowlton Strategies, India in the Marcom team working on a diverse set of clients in the lifestyle, consumer, media and entertainment and corporate verticals. Some of my clients included leading music record label - Sony Music Entertainment India, Azerbaijan Tourism Board, Duracell, Discovery Network, Times Network, Deoleo India, Hyatt Hotels and Resorts and Pogo. I spearheaded a high-intensity, high-profile, global short-term assignment titled ‘Hajj-Operation Arafat’ with the Ministry of Culture and Information (MOCI) of Saudi Arabia from the H+K India office. I was given additional responsibility to head external and internal communications for Hill+Knowlton Strategies India to drive positive perceptions and bolster the corporate reputation of the company.
Prior to Hill+Knowlton, I have worked with Weber Shandwick’s consumer team in Mumbai on a variety of lifestyle and media brands such as European Union's Food Promotion in India, GJEPC's Artisan Jewellery Design Awards and Sony MAX to name a few. I have garnered travel and tourism experience having worked with several marquee clients such as Dubai’s Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing, Skyscanner, Tourism Authority of Thailand and Tourism Council of Bhutan, to name a few.
I was a speaker at the FICCI Frames ‘Shoot at Site’ Tourism Conclave in 2013. A graduate from St. Xavier's College, Mumbai, I’ve also done my Masters in International Business from the Robert Gordon University, U.K.
