About me
Lucas Bica is a Designer who started his career in Brazil, in 2007. Over the years has been expanding his skills as an Art Director in Advertising from print advertising to TV commercials. He has worked for some of the most important communication groups and brands in the world, such as Uber, Honda, Wunderman Thompson (WPP Group), Natura&Co, AtoB, Yara International, and more.
He has been developing his knowledge over the years through several courses in the areas of graphic design, advertising, and filmmaking. He graduated in Advertising Creative Process from ESPM (Marketing School) and studied graphic design at Unilasalle in Brazil. In order to expand his knowledge in Design, he went through specific courses in branding, typography, web design, project management, and cinematography.
For over 10 years he developed his career as an Art Director creating advertising campaigns, and visual concepts, as well as directing and shooting many projects including photoshoots and TV commercials. In the last 4 years, he has been working specifically in social media and content.
In 2017, Lucas started a new chapter in his career when he began to work with 3D projects. Developed and directed visual concepts for advertising campaigns 100% CGI for brands like Honda. This new chapter allowed him to create using 3D elements, which connected him with infinite possibilities to work specifically in social media and content. In 2018 opened his own studio, Box Visual Experience. The studio was built to create motion graphics from scratch for corporate events. All projects were developed to shape the guest experience, affecting the whole event using big LED screens strategically
positioned. At Box Visual Experience, Lucas led all projects as Motion Graphics Supervisor and Creative Director.
To expand his design and visual arts skills, in 2020 Lucas closed his studio in Brazil and moved to Los Angeles, California, to expand his career and find new connections through art, design and advertising. Currently working with AtoB, one of the emerging startups in the Bay Area, for the past 2 years, working to elevate branding and product design.
